Privacy Policy

Unseal ("we," "our," or "us") is a journaling and letter-writing app. Your privacy matters deeply to us — the entire app is built around the idea that your words are sacred.

What We Collect

• Account information: Email address (for authentication only)
• Letters and journal entries: Stored encrypted in our database. Only you can see your private letters.
• Usage data: Anonymous analytics (app opens, feature usage) to improve the experience. No personal content is ever included.
• Device tokens: For push notifications, if you opt in.

What We Don't Collect

• We do not sell your data. Ever.
• We do not share your letters with advertisers.
• We do not read your private letters.
• We do not track your location.

Community Letters

If you choose to share a letter with the community, it goes through AI moderation to filter harmful content. Shared letters are anonymous — no usernames, no profiles, no way to identify you.

AI Moderation

Community-shared letters are reviewed by an AI moderation system to ensure safety. This system only sees letters you explicitly choose to share. Your private letters are never sent to any AI system.

Data Storage

Your data is stored on Supabase (hosted on AWS) with row-level security. You can only access your own data. We use industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest.

Subscriptions

Unseal Pro subscriptions are processed through Apple's App Store. We do not have access to your payment information. Subscription management is handled entirely through your Apple ID settings.

Data Deletion

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the Settings tab in the app. Deletion is permanent and irreversible.

Children's Privacy

Unseal is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll notify you of significant changes through the app.
